Iraqis chant anti-American slogans as charred bodies hang from a bridge over the Euphrates River in Fallujah, west of Baghdad, Wednesday, March 31 2004. Enraged Iraqis in this hotbed of anti-Americanism killed four foreigners Wednesday, including at least one U.S. national, took the charred bodies from a burning SUV, dragged them through the streets, and hung them from the bridge. Now that’s obscene

How hypocritical that Clear Channel thinks that Stern is obscene, and then go to sign this hate-inciting, racist clown.

Clear Channel Radio and the Reverend Jesse L. Jackson Sr. today announced that the Rev. Jackson will host of a live, one-hour talk show airing Sundays from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Central time (8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Eastern). Keep Hope Alive(tm) With the Rev. Jesse Jackson will debut April 4 exclusively on Clear Channel Radio stations and will originate from Chicago’s WGCI-AM.

Hope he doesn’t attack Bush while on the air…

Savages

Makes you wonder why the Americans even bother with these animals.  There’s still a lot of work to do, obviously.

Jubilant residents dragged the charred corpses of four foreign contractors – one a woman, at least one an American – through the streets today and hanged them from the bridge spanning the Euphrates River. Five American soldiers died in a roadside bombing nearby.

Transit bull

Anyone impressed with the Liberal show of giving Toronto back some of its tax money needs to know that McSquinty is giving less than Mike Harris promised.  Blizzard has a column on the limousine Liberals, who are too good for the bus apparently.

There was a moment of delicious irony at the end of yesterday’s Liberal group hug about public transit.

The TTC does need money, but it also needs a new way of doing business..  The unions run the place, and as much as I wouldn’t want to be a bus driver in this day and age of disrespect, they tell the management how to run the place.  Speaking of management, it’s bloated too and needs a new structure (how about competition) to function as a modern business does.  The TTC is like health: a sponge that absorbs an unlimited amount of tax dollars, with no real visible manifestation of the money spent.

No wonder

No wonder Toronto mayors are drooling over photo radar.

The number of traffic tickets issued annually in Winnipeg after photo radar was introduced skyrocketed from fewer than 13,000 to 170,000—an increase of 1,300%. Civic leaders across the GTA want the province to give them the power to implement photo radar.

Ya, it’s about safety.

Something’s going on

Am I the only one who thinks there is something very fishy with Cecilia’s disappearance?  Some of the facts are just too strange.

Whoever snatched and murdered Cecilia Zhang not only knew the home’s layout, but also that the little girl had given up her bedroom to her visiting grandfather and was asleep in a guest room…- Cecilia was not picked at random by a stranger and was wearing only her underwear when she was snatched.

If it was an inside job, then the police are doing parents everywhere a big dis-service by making it seem like this was a random job.  It clearly was not.
