Peak oil again

Prices of barrels of oil over $40 only fuel this guy’s website.

Did you know that life in America and around the world is soon going to change drastically . . . for the worse?

Just think where we’d be with no transportation, food shortages, and terrible economic collapse. This sad reality is closer than you think.

I’m really not quite sure what to think of the concept.  I hope he’s dead wrong.

Let them run Iraq

The world wants these guys to run Iraq?

Britain’s Independent reports that United Nations peacekeepers in the Congo are sexually exploiting young refugees: UN troops buy sex from teenage refugees in Congo camp.

Give him a lobotomy

They’ve lost their minds in New Zealand – the age of consent has been lowered past Canada’s 14 to twelve.

“He deserves a lobotomy. It’s a pity his mother and father didn’t abstain from sex full time.

“So often it’s the lawmakers who are the real danger to society, not the teenagers who have to abide by the laws. It’s idiocy.”

Choose change?

Is the Chretien wunderkid backing Harper?

May 23, 2004 – Two hours before the call, and the first time in twenty years I haven’t had anything to do with a national Liberal campaign (except in 1988, when I was a reporter at the Citizen, and I participated by writing about it). We’re celebrating my non-participation with a day at the factory outlets in Niagara Falls.

I’ll have plenty to say in the next 36 days. Suffice to say, at the start of this campaign, my view is this:

CHOOSE CHANGE.

Stranger things…

Both sides, as usual

John Barber writes that the Liberals, as usual, play both sides of the bridge issue perfectly – accomplishing nothing.

The worst part is that they think they can get away with it by bobbing and weaving and attempting to fool people about their aims and intentions. With their “unequivocal” scheming, they have managed to elevate a pesky local issue into a monumental demonstration of equal parts arrogance and incompetence.

No one can play both sides of the fence, achieving nothing, like the Liberals.

Lost its name?

Strange how the media doesn’t call this shooting galley Regent Park anymore.

DOZENS OF children watched in horror yesterday as a gunshot victim collapsed and died at the entrance of a Dundas St. apartment building. Police cordoned off the Metro Housing building at 540 Dundas St. E, at the corner of Sackville St., about 7:30 p.m., shortly after getting reports of shots being fired.

Guess they’re trying to lose the stigma.

Expression Engine

I am slowly transferring this site to EE. Time has been hard to come by lately, but I was lucky enough to get a copy for free from EE so I am trying to get things switched over asap.

Revolution happening

A revolution is occurring in WiFi – and the old phone companies don’t like it.

Oh you just have to love what is happening here. Hospitals are taking their communications infrastructure into their own damn hands… Good for em! You better pray that those WiFi routers switching the voice calls don’t go down…
