An interesting story on the latest Wal-mart victory. The most annoying part of the deal is the incredible exemption from our overbearing government that natives have.
This month, however, in Canada, Wal-Mart hit pay dirt. Two native bands in B.C. agreed to host a Wal-Mart on their traditional lands. On reserve land, there are no unions, pay equity provisions or environmental regulations. Native law prevails. On native land, rezoning applications are unnecessary.
Business would be so much more vibrant without the strict government controls the rest of us plebes have to suffer under.
Two tier health care? Heck, we’ve got two-tier citizenship here in Canada.
