Steyn gang on OBL’s latest hit

For real insight into the latest Osama video, it appears the Steyn fan club has it all figured out.

We are an accepting people to a fault.  Why should we take “bin Laden’s “ video at face value?  I keep reading blogs that talk about the video as if it proves the cretin is still alive.  Does it hurt Bush, the post ers ponder.  Kerry?  Both?  Neither?

Killing with compassion

Mark highlights what should be considered another Liberal scandal.

The new town – Natuashish – cost taxpayers $152 million. Two years after the resettlement of the Mushuau, let us turn to our good friends at the CBC for a progress report:

Osama’s back

The latest Osama video is the strangest piece.  I don’t know what to think about it, especially since I believe that Osama’s been dead for some time now.  The quote below seems to indicate that this isn’t even him speaking:

“It never occurred to us that the commander-in-chief of the American armed forces would leave 50,000 of his citizens in the two towers to face these horrors alone,” he said.

Honestly, it sounds like drivel from the Democrats.  Then again, why would they “release” a video like this that will only help Bush?  I am still waiting for Osama to appear November 1.

Stop humping

Only in Toronto would they consider building more fire and ambulance stations to get around the constantly reproducing speed bump epidemic. (The saying cut off your nose to spite your face comes to mind.)

“Nobody wants to talk to the fire department about this stuff until it’s their house on fire and their lawyers are after us about why are response time was what it was,” Cowden said.

I’ve found the speed bumps rather enjoyable in a large vehicle with good clearance and suspension, but a big heavy vehicle can sustain major damage on these nuisances.

Buchanan for Bush

Buchanan says it’s time for the Republicans to rally behind their leader, no matter their differences.

Yet, in the contest between Bush and Kerry, I am compelled to endorse the president of the United States. Why? Because, while Bush and Kerry are both wrong on Iraq, Sharon, NAFTA, the WTO, open borders, affirmative action, amnesty, free trade, foreign aid, and Big Government, Bush is right on taxes, judges, sovereignty, and values. Kerry is right on nothing.

A fan

How could I not link to Alexa’s blog?

Hi,

Your blog Right On! is fabulous. Not necessarily all women. I’ve known a

few men whove had no interest in sex. Nada. Weird. I just started a blog

and I am trying to attract some readers. I was wondering if you wouldn’t

mind popping by and taking a look at it. I’m always open to comments and

suggestions.

You’re under Misc right now, Alexa.  Let’s see if you get boosted to Must Reads.

Canada the powerhouse

Brock has an interesting blog, and here is an interesting entry.

Proving You Can Boast Canada and Be a Right-Winger At The Same Time There are a few Americans who are attacking me over my stance on American policy. Some of them seem to have a much skewed and inaccurate view of Canada, particularily it’s economic situation. They seem to think we are an economic wasteland, and we would be no-where without the United States.

Things aren’t so bad here after all, I guess.

Bad job

From the grass is always browner dept comes this:

Your job may be crappy, but according to a report from “Popular Science” magazine, it’s probably not as bad as being an Anal Wart Researcher.

Screen door on a submarine

Before we blame the Brits for damaged goods, it appears we weren’t following good submarine operation procedures.

A Canadian submarine had both tower hatches opened when a wave crashed above it, filling the control room in “ankle deep” salt water 90 minutes before electrical panels exploded, crew members say.

Can there be anything any more obvious than closing all the doors on a sub, especially in a choppy sea?  Sheesh.

Not this year, dear

The 1% are probably all women.

About one percent of adults have absolutely no interest in sex, according to a new study, and that distinction is becoming one of pride among many asexuals.

Bankspeak

Michael Coren mocks RBC’s new homosexual-friendly workplace.

You may have thought that your bank was there just to help you with a mortgage, take care of your money and give you a loan. Not quite.

Watch your mouth

Better have a big wallet if you dare speak euphemistically of homosexuals.

Quebec’s Human Rights Commission has ordered a used car salesman in Sorel to pay a gay man $1,000 for a derogatory comment made three years ago.

More sign of the growing Big Brother powers we’ve allowed the government to have.
